"I built my business at the expense of my biology."

The Founder's Story

300 pounds. Building a winery. Falling apart.

I spent the better part of two decades building businesses. I built a career in an industry I love. I built Modus Operandi Cellars — a winery in Napa Valley — from the ground up, teaching myself every step of the way because that's what I do when something matters to me. I go deep.

But while I was pouring everything into the winery, I was destroying the one thing that made all of it possible. I got up to 300 pounds. My energy was gone. My sleep was wrecked. I was running a business that demanded everything from me, and my body was sending signals I'd been ignoring for years.

I wasn't sick — not yet. But I was heading there. And I knew that the path I was on wasn't going to fix itself with a gym membership and a salad.

Then my switch flipped. And I did what I always do — I went deep.

I spent months studying metabolic health, insulin resistance, peptide therapy, hormonal optimization, fasting protocols, and the science behind why high-performing people fall apart physically while their careers are thriving. I didn't want surface-level advice. I wanted to understand the mechanisms — the same way I learned soil chemistry and fermentation science when I decided to make wine.

I lost 70 pounds. I put on 20 pounds of lean muscle. My bloodwork transformed. But it wasn't just the numbers — I have more energy than I've ever had in my life. More endurance. Better recovery. More mental focus and clarity than I had in my twenties. I'm an absolute force, and it's all because I found this path and committed to it completely.

This is my personal experience. Individual results vary and are not typical or guaranteed.

That transformation didn't just change my body. It made me passionate about building something so I could share what I learned with other people like me — who built something impressive and let their biology pay the price along the way.

But here's what I realized along the way: the system is broken.

Your doctor gives you 15 minutes twice a year. The food industry is working against you by design. The wellness industry is full of influencers selling shortcuts and supplements with no accountability. And the telehealth clinics popping up everywhere will write you a script and ship you a vial — and then you're on your own.

Nobody was putting the whole picture together. Nobody was combining clinical oversight with real coaching, real data, and real accountability under one roof.

So I built it.

Thesis Health exists because I needed it first. And now it exists for every person who's built something impressive in business while letting their biology pay the price.

Partner & Nurse Practitioner

I didn't build this alone.

Angelica Moore, MSN, RN, FNP-C, is my wife and my partner in this business.

She studied exercise biology and nutrition at UC Davis before earning her nursing credentials at Touro University, and she's a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who travels internationally to continue her education under some of the best practitioners in the world.

Her credentials aren't decorative — they're part of why Thesis Health takes clinical care seriously. I bring the coaching framework; together we keep the standard high.

Clinical Nutrition

M.S. Applied Clinical Nutrition · B.S. Biology · CNS Candidate

Mackenzie earned her M.S. in Applied Clinical Nutrition from Northeast College of Health Sciences (4.0 GPA), building on a B.S. in Biology from the University of Tampa. Her focus is nutritional immunology and the gut–immune axis.

She's completing her final supervised clinical hours in root-cause, personalized nutrition through The Clinician's Incubator, and sits for the Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) board exam in June 2026. In practice she applies medical nutrition therapy across GI, hormonal, cardiometabolic, autoimmune, and cognitive conditions — reading labs like DUTCH, genetics, and GI-Effects panels to build genuinely personalized plans.

It's personal work for her: managing two autoimmune conditions herself, including type 1 diabetes, she's especially drawn to metabolic and endocrine health and the immune system's role in nutrition.

Our Philosophy

What we believe.

We start with a conversation — and build on data. Your first step is a questionnaire and a consultation. We listen. We learn what you're dealing with. We make educated recommendations based on experience and research. Then, once you're in the program, we layer in the real data — labs, biometrics, genetics — and your protocol gets sharper with every data point. We don't pretend to know everything about your body on day one. We earn that knowledge over time, together.

We don't do templates. Your protocol is built for you. Not adapted from a template. Not borrowed from what worked for someone else. Built from your data, for your goals, in the context of your life.

We don't replace your doctor. We work alongside your existing medical team. We don't diagnose. We don't treat. We don't prescribe. All clinical decisions are made by licensed physicians. What we do is fill the gap that your doctor can't — the daily tracking, the protocol management, the accountability, and the coaching that turns a prescription into actual results.

We don't take everyone. This isn't a volume business. We work with people who are serious, committed, and willing to do the work. If that's not you, we'll say so — respectfully, but directly.

Your health is not just about you.

It doesn't matter how big your business is. It doesn't matter how big your bank account is. If you're too feeble, too weak, and too sick to enjoy the life you've built — what was the point?

You didn't build all of this just for yourself. You built it for your family. For the people who depend on you, who look up to you, who need you to be there — not just present, but strong, healthy, and fully alive.

Too many people spend decades building something incredible, only to be so broken by the time they get there that they can't enjoy it with the people they built it for. They can't keep up with their kids. They can't travel with their partner. They can't show up the way they want to because their body quit on them while they were busy building.

Your health is not a personal luxury. It's a responsibility to every person who's counting on you to be here — and to be at your best — for decades to come. Treat it that way.

Modus Operandi Cellars — Jason's Napa Valley winery

The Winemaker Detail

Not a flex. A character signal.

People ask why I mention the winery. It's not a flex. It's a character signal.

When I decided to make wine, I didn't take a weekend course and start bottling. I studied soil science, viticulture, fermentation chemistry, and cellar management. I learned from people who'd been doing it for decades. I made mistakes, adjusted, and got better. It took years before I produced something I was proud of.

That's how I approach everything. Including this.

Modus Operandi Cellars still exists. I still make wine. But Thesis Health is where the same intensity of focus now lives — because the stakes are higher. Wine is something I love. Health is something I need. And if I'm going to put my name on it, it's going to be built right.

What Sets Us Apart

Five reasons this is different.

Physician-prescribed peptide and hormonal therapy

Prescribed by licensed physicians, fulfilled by licensed compounding pharmacies. Legitimate clinical care.

White-glove coaching

Data-driven, accountability-heavy, built for high-achieving people who want more than a prescription.

Therapy at cost for clients

Coaching clients receive their peptide and hormonal therapy, labs, and supplements at cost — because we profit from your results, not your prescriptions.

A clinical team behind it

Board-certified nurse practitioners, a naturopathic doctor, and a clinical nutritionist — real credentials and real experience behind the coaching.

A founder who lives the work

I'm not an observer. I'm not a theorist. I did this for myself first, and I do it every day. My data is tracked the same way yours will be.
